Kendriya Vidyalayas
are run by the KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN, an
autonomous body formed by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of
India, New Delhi as a result of the recommendations of
the Second Pay Commission. They primarily cater the
educational needs of the children of Central Govt.
Employees including Defence personnel liable to frequent
transfers throughout the country. Needless to say,
therefore, they have a common syllabus and are
affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education,
New Delhi. Every school, hence is a 'Miniature India' in
itself and tries to inculcate in its students feelings
of patriotism, brotherhood and national integration.
Admission is opened to all categories of applicants
including non-Central Government Employees.
Kendriya Vidyalaya-No.3 Belgaum (Karnataka), established
in June-2007, is situated in the heart of the city in
Temporary Building provided by the District
Administration at Maratha Mandal’s P.U.College Campus
which is about 4 Km from Belgaum Railway Station and 1
Km. from the Bus Station. This Vidyalaya is in the Civil
Sector, and the Deputy Commissioner-Belgaum, is the
Chairman of the Vidyalaya Management Committee. This is
a Single Section school having classes from I to IX,
with an enrolment of 346 students. Computer Education is
provided to all students from classes III to IX. Apart
from the academic ventures a variety of co-curricular
activities are also conducted. The institution aims at a
comprehensive development of the child with accent on
mental, moral and physical well-being |
